Summer Vacation Program for ages 5 - 10

Both Sessions are FULL.
These intensive two-week Art Camps give children a chance to be immersed in creative exploration in a safe, nurturing environment. Choose a two week session in July or a two week session in August. Students will have a chance to sketch outdoors in our courtyard; warm up with movement and stretching; work on larger scale art projects in drawing, painting or sculpture; participate in dialogues about their work and build memories to last for many years. This program is two weeks per session and if possible, we will allow families to elect one week as soon as we have enough registrations. There is a 25% sibling discount and Scholarships and Sliding Scale options are always available! Students bring their own lunch and wear clothes to get messy in! Dot Art will provide all the materials and some healthy snacks. We are thrilled to be expanding our summer programs this year thanks to the volunteer efforts of many supporters.
July 20th - July 31st. Monday thru Friday, 9am - 5pm
August 17th - August 28th. Monday thru Friday, 9am - 5pm

Summer Vacation Program for ages 3, 4 & 5
Little Children’s Summer Studio with Judy and Janet Shea at our space in Baker Artist Lofts in Lower Mills
Join us for this extremely popular summer class led by our well loved teachers, Janet and Judy Shea, who have been with Dot Art for over 10 years! For three hours each class, children will play creatively and then enjoy their own ideas and skills with drawing, painting and collage. This is child centered learning environment offering a chance to explore materials in a friendly and inspiring art environment.
Week One - July 14th, 15th and 16th (Tues, Wed, Thurs) 10:30 - 1:30
Week Two - July 28th, 29th and 30th (Tues, Wed, Thurs) 10:30 - 1:30
Sign up for one or two weeks of art classes!

Located at the Baker Artist Lofts, 1231 Adams Street in Lower Mills section of Dorchester (side entrance at left of the building)
Tuition is $85 for each week and includes materials. Children bring their own lunch.
Classes limited to 12 students.

Saturday Open Studios - a drop in art program for ages 3 - 10
Ends June 13th 2015. This program will resume in the Fall.

This is a weekly drop-in program for children age 3 - 10! A great activity for young artists to explore and create with an array of art materials for a full 90 minutes! Children age 3 - 5 come from 10:30 - noon. Children age 6 - 10 come from 12:30 - 2pm. Artist Cheryl Robinson is an amazing teacher who encourages self expression and freedom in a safe and nurturing environment! Special thanks to College Bound Dorchester for the space! We are pleased to provide after-school art classes with The Henderson School in Dorchester to provide quality after-school programming in the visual arts. Every Monday and Wednesday children from K2 - 4th grades honed their skills in drawing, painting and sculpture. Dot Art is proud to have partnered with The Lee Innovation Academy, The Murphy and other Dorchester elementary schools over it’s fifteen year history in the neighborhood!

We have collaborated with Boston City Singers, UMass Boston, College Bound Dorchester, Write on the Dot, Dot OUT, Dorchester Food Coop’s Winter’s Farmers Market and other non-profit organizations in Dorchester to help build a stronger presence of the arts in our community.
