NEW TEEN (14-18) PROGRAM! Visual Design 101

Gain essential visual design skills while learn to use industry-standard software. Facilitated by a 20+ year design professional.

The Workshop:

Six three-hour sessions offered on Saturday afternoons from 2-4 pm

  • Each week will have a short lesson and then the remaining time will be used to explore and create except week six, where students will create their own logo, poster, or other print/digital project of their own choice. 

  • Students will then partner with a local business to create marketing materials which will be created during a longer session offered during April Vacation

  • Jan 10 & 24

  • Feb 7 & 28

  • March 14 & 28

  • Meet your business partner April 11-ish

  • Four-day (10-3 T-F) intensive during April break to design and produce materials for local businesses

Weekly Themes:

  • Shape & Size

  • Color

  • Typography

  • Imagery (photography, illustration)

  • Composition

  • Culminating Personal Project
